Where Did the Time Go?

I’m doing it all.

HA! No I’m not! It’s definitely easier said than done. I WISH I had time to do everything on all my lists. But I’d need to add hours to my day and skip sleeping altogether.

Let me just say, homeschooling a kid is no joke. Partially because I’m a freak who wants to make sure all my kids know all the important things right now. Even though Addison is able to learn about things in the order of her choosing based on what she’s interested in at the time, my homeschool is by no means easy… which means I’m spending a ton of time on that.

It’s totally worth it though. I’m happy having her home every day and I’m anticipating the growth she’ll experience this year.

My projects though!

I really don’t have much time for what I was doing before I started this new full-time teaching job. Everything else has been put on a back burner for now, which is fine, except that I can’t get it out of my head. I want to make things!

My husband is probably a little relieved that I don’t have a ton of time on my hands. Now when he gets home from work he can expect the house to still be intact because I haven’t had the time to take out walls, tear down cabinets, or paint entire rooms. (Don’t worry. I’ll find the time eventually.)

Did I mention that my homeschool girl is asking me to build her a loft bed and a desk even though she’s the reason I don’t have time to build?! It’s fine. I think I see a shop class in her future! Perks of schooling at home!

But seriously.

I’ve also been looking at plans for a tree house. Lord help me. Our upstairs bathroom is still only half finished… why I’m looking at tree house blue prints is beyond me. But it’s almost fall(ish) in Texas and I just feel like that would be the most comfortable time to build a tree house outside. Call me crazy. It’s fairly accurate.
